David Namkung
David Namkung is a founder and managing partner at Clarity Partners, where he handles day-to-day operations, business development and service delivery. David has over 25 years of experience serving a wide range of clients including Fortune 500 companies, public sector organizations and first stage start-ups. With Clarity, he has managed numerous large-scale projects with public sector clients such as the City of Chicago, Cook County, and State of Illinois.
David also currently serves as a partner of operations at Kinzie Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm and strategic partner of Clarity. With Kinzie, David leads technology implementation and assists in the execution of value creation initiatives for portfolio companies.
Prior to founding Clarity, David was a partner at Vector Strategic Services where he successfully managed the development of enterprise systems for two of the largest global professional services firms, Accenture and Deloitte. Before Vector, he was an options market-maker for Gargoyle Strategic Investments and a senior consultant at Accenture. David has also assisted numerous start-up companies in developing their technology plans and was invited to sit on three of these companies’ boards of directors.
David graduated with honors from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Industrial Management and Economics. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Asian American Action Fund of Greater Chicago, Hanul Family Alliance and The Council of Korean Americans.
David is proficient in Korean, an avid golfer and hockey player, and a former professional blackjack player.
