Chicago United selected Clarity Partners to implement an open source learning management system (LMS) in support of their upcoming Corporate Inclusion Institute initiative, the first citywide talent development program for the Chicago business community.
Chicago United is a non-profit organization that has been working to promote and support a strong, inclusive and diverse business climate in Chicago since 1968. The organization will launch the Corporate Inclusion Institute, an innovative new program that expands organizational capacity for inclusion through the recruitment and retention of critical talent, in January 2019. This unique learning and development process supports young diverse talent, who may be “first to college” and “first to corporate,” while developing the cultural fluency of mid- to senior-level managers. The structured, nine-month program will operate on two tracks – one track will serve the young talent, or “Fellows,” and the second track will serve the managers, or “Corporate Guides.”
Clarity is responsible for the development of an LMS to augment the program’s academic courses, workshops, networking events and coaching sessions. The application will be built on the Moodle platform, which is consistently ranked as the top open-source LMS and is widely used in the education industry. With a responsive and mobile-first design approach, the Corporate Inclusion Institute app will provide both the Fellows and Corporate Guides with easy access to online resources and supplementary support between programming.
