The City of Chicago Office of the City Clerk (OCC) website that was designed and built by Clarity Partners won the 2016 Interactive Media Award (IMA) for Outstanding Achievement in the government category. The Outstanding Achievement Award is the second highest honor bestowed by IMA. Winning entries had to successfully pass through the organization’s judging system that reviews design, content, feature functionality, usability, and standards compliance.
Clarity’s team redesigned, built, and secured the OCC website and EZ>Buy web application where Chicago residents can purchase vehicle stickers, daily parking passes, and register their dog online. The website is now responsive (i.e., formatted for all connected devices). In the back-end, Clarity created a Content Management System (CMS) to allow OCC staff to maintain up-to-date information without having to contact a web administrator to do so. Furthermore, residents can live stream City Council meetings and access an archive of public records.
