On February 11, Clarity Partners hosted the students of Chicago Vocational Career Academy (CVCA) as part of the Lumity program.

For the third year in a row, CVCA students worked alongside Clarity employees to present STEM-driven solutions to real-world problems that affect their communities.  The students then presented those solutions to a panel of judges, who voted on the idea they found most promising.

The winning team was U-Trash, an app that promotes community involvement in an effort to combat litter and trash in the Chicago area.  The app has two functionalities: one for U-Reporters, who can take a picture of trash and tag its exact location and one for U-Volunteers, who mark they will go to the location and pick up the trash.  They will now present their idea alongside other teams that won their respective one-day challenges as part of the IGNITE Benefit Cocktail Reception and STEM Fair on March 12.
