Continuing to build on its tradition of promoting diversity and inclusion in Chicago’s business community, Chicago United launched the Corporate Inclusion Institute (CII) with a kick-off breakfast on February 1, 2019.

CII is a unique, research-based program that was created to support diverse talent. The structured, nine-month enrichment program provides participants with tools to accelerate their personal and professional growth. Ultimately, the program will focus on developing the cultural fluency of talent from entry through senior-manager levels. CII is based on four-member clusters, which include an Executive Sponsor, Corporate Guide, Fellow and Direct Manager. Read more about CII here.

Clarity Partners (Clarity) is proudly participating in the inaugural cohort of this citywide program. Founder and Managing Partner David Namkung serves as the Executive Sponsor for Clarity’s cluster. Jason Cummings, Bryson Hughes and Thalia Loeffel are participating as Corporate Guide, Fellow and Direct Manager, respectively.

“As a firm, we believe in the power of diversity and have always sought to make it a focus of our hiring and office culture,” said Namkung. “We’re grateful to participate in this new initiative and harness the program’s comprehensive and interactive process to enhance our inclusion practices in the office.”

Prior to the official CII kick-off, Clarity worked with Chicago United to develop the official mobile application that supports all CII participants as they complete the program. This app, built on the Moodle platform, serves as a digital resource to support both Fellows and Corporate Guides and help build community within the program. The app also prompts participants for tasks and surveys, in addition to providing reporting metrics for Chicago United.
