Update: in an effort to keep the Drupal community healthy and safe, MidCamp 2020 will now be entirely digital. Clarity Partners will remain a Core Sponsor of this event and is honored to provide video captioning as a crucial part of this updated format. Our speakers will also be presenting on the same days and times originally scheduled via video conference. For additional updates, please see the Midwest Drupal Camp website.
Clarity Partners is a Core Sponsor for Chicago’s seventh annual Midwest Drupal Camp (MidCamp) coming up on March 18 – 21 at DePaul University! MidCamp brings together Drupal users, neophyte to expert, for the opportunity to increase their knowledge about the open-source platform. Our award-winning web team will also be presenting at this year’s event.
Our Sponsorship
As part of this sponsorship, Clarity will be providing video captioning for all the speaking sessions to be publicly posted after MidCamp. This is an expansion of our 2019 efforts, in which our unique “In-Kind” sponsorship included producing video captions for fifteen of the sessions over the four-day event.
These captions will provide the following benefits:
- Hearing and visually impaired Drupal users will gain access
- All users will have written words to assist quiet speech and poor or confusing audio/video
- The content will be captured and indexed by search engines
As an organization that values the importance of assistive technologies, we are proud to contribute to Drupal’s core (no pun intended) initiative to promote inclusiveness by broadening the reach of these talks. Read more about the importance Clarity places on website accessibility here.
Our Sessions
Our speaking sessions will cover the importance of both user experience and client engagement as part of the overall service delivery process. Creative Director Suzie Miller alongside Web Developer Michael Roman, and Senior Consultant Gienna Gaeta will present on March 19, recounting their project experience with “Embracing usability and accessibility: a Pace case study.” The following day, Partner Kelly Tetterton will cover best practices after a go live in her discussion “We Launched the Site! Now What?” and why this is just good business.
