Colleen D. Egan, Director of People at Clarity Partners, was selected by Illinois Technology Association (ITA) as the 2018 ITA CityLIGHTS Prominent Woman in Tech. This award was presented to Ms. Egan for her role in championing her female peers at all levels and supporting their growth and prominence in the industry.
Ms. Egan, who was a finalist for the second year in a row, has had a long career as a leader in tech. As a Director at Clarity Partners, she currently focuses on human resources, company culture and “endless possibilities”.
The ITA CityLIGHTS Awards program honors companies and individuals whose innovation and success drive growth in the technology industry and Illinois. The winners for each category, except for the CityLIGHTS Industry Champion, were determined by a compilation of the judges’ scores and voting by the public at large. The winners were revealed at an awards ceremony on Thursday, September 13 at Morgan Manufacturing in Chicago.
“I’d like to thank each and every woman here tonight, especially the other four finalists, for your commitment to technology, for your continued support and mentoring of young women and for being leaders in an industry where we’ve succeeded, but we have so much more to do,” said Ms. Egan in her acceptance speech. “So continue to embrace your uniqueness, say ‘yes’ to opportunities that challenge you, take inspired risks and use your voice to elevate all the young women in your lives.”
Other 2018 CityLIGHTS awards included Industry Champion, which went to Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation; CEO of the Year, which went to Amanda Lannert of Jellyvision; and Industry Disrupter, which went to Tempus.
