The New York State Insurance Fund selected Clarity Partners (Clarity), in partnership with New York-based consulting firm CMA Consulting, to implement an Oracle solution for their budgeting, planning, forecasting and reporting needs.
The New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) is a governmental insurance carrier that provides workers’ compensation and disability benefits for employers in New York State. NYSIF is financially self-supporting and competes with private insurance carriers. It’s the largest provider of worker’s compensation insurance in the state of New York and among the top ten largest in the nation.
The project team’s implementation of Oracle Planning Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) will provide NYSIF with a modern, automated platform to replace their manual, spreadsheet-driven process. Implementation of PBCS will allow NYSIF to produce their annual budget, enable forecasting and what-if modeling capabilities and automate reporting to allow NYSIF more time in analyzing their data. Over the project’s duration, the Clarity team will design and develop the financial planning application; provide end-user training; perform and oversee testing, deployment, cut-over and go‐live activities and provide post-production support services.
NYSIF’s new budgeting solution is expected to launch in August of 2019.
