Rod Zech
Rodney Zech is a founder and managing partner at Clarity Partners, where he is responsible for operations, finance and accounting, business development, and service delivery. Rod has over 25 years of experience in IT strategy, project management, performance management, business process redesign, financial analysis, software and systems implementation, IT contracting, and operations assessments and improvements. He has successfully managed dozens of management consulting and information technology projects for large public sector organizations, including the City of Chicago, Cook County, Chicago Park District, Chicago Public Schools, and the State of Illinois.
Rod also currently serves as a senior advisor at Kinzie Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm and strategic partner of Clarity. At Kinzie, Rod supports technology implementation and improvement efforts for portfolio companies and assists with human capital, accounting, legal, and tax matters for Kinzie Capital Partners.
Before founding Clarity, Rod was a principal and COO at Catalyst Consulting Group where he successfully managed dozens of IT projects. He has also worked as a senior tax consultant at KPMG, managed the Chicago offices of a shipping company, and served as an assistant production manager for an agricultural firm.
Rod graduated cum laude with a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, and with distinction from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in Agricultural Business Management. He is a licensed member of the Illinois Bar and a Certified Public Accountant. Rod is the Board Treasurer of Lumity, a non-profit that provides teens and young adults from under-resourced communities with transformational experiences to prepare them for lifelong STEM careers.
Rod enjoys running, traveling, spending time with his family, and craft beer.
