Clarity Completes Oracle Implementation for Orange County Transportation Authority

In April of 2020, Clarity Partners (Clarity) started an implementation of Oracle’s Performance Budgeting Cloud Solution (PBCS) for Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA).  The launch of this update is now complete, moving OCTA to a cloud-based system that is flexible enough to meet current need as well as those that may arise in the future.

Before this implementation, OCTA had a legacy budget system that was decades old and supported by an external vendor since creation.  Aside from wanting to move to this cloud-based upgrade for the added flexibility, they were also seeking a system that could be supported in house.  The shift needed to be seamless in order to appeal to OCTA’s users, who were apprehensive about moving to a new platform.

Now that this implementation of PCBS is complete, OCTA has web-based solutions for Workflow budgeting, Revenue and Expense budgeting, Fund Balancing, Position Control analysis, Cashflow’s, Reporting, and Dashboard analytics.  Clarity was able to design the new system to have a similar look and feel to what users were familiar with, alleviating the concerns of those comfortable with the old system while streamlining processes to make budget and cashflow more efficient.
